Lord’s Set for Record Attendance for England – India Women’s ODI with Over 15,000 Tickets Already Sold

India women’s cricket team’s tour of England is set to begin on June 28. The 5-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series will be followed by the 3-match One Day International (ODI) series. The ODI is highly anticipated by both the teams and the fans, with the upcoming World Cup now less than three months away.

The first ODI will take place at Southampton on July 16. However, the second match is eagerly awaited by cricket fans. The match will be played on July 19 at the historic Lord’s Cricket Ground, London.

The ‘Home of Cricket’ can accommodate up to 31,100 spectators. Back in 2022, the Marylebone Cricket Club-owned Lord’s hosted a record crowd of 15,187, which remains the highest attendance for an England Women’s fixture. Interestingly, that One Day International was also played between England and India.

Now, the record looks set to be broken. The second One Day International, scheduled to be held at Lord’s, is just under a month away. The official Instagram account of Lord’s Cricket Ground, ‘Home of Cricket’, announced yesterday that over 15,000 tickets have already been sold. Given that there is still considerable time before the match, the previous attendance record could very well be surpassed.

Tickets are available on the official site of Lord’s Cricket Stadium.
