The second day of the Nordic Women T20 Cup 2025 served up a complete cocktail of cricketing drama — nerve-wracking thrillers, gritty defenses, smooth chases, and an emphatic demolition. From Finland’s one-run escape act to Germany’s sheer dominance, the tournament lit up across Ishoj and Albertslund on 30th August 2025.

Match 3: Norway Women clinch a 1-wicket heart-stopper over Finland
The day began with a nail-biter as Norway Women edged past Finland Women by just 1 wicket in what will go down as one of the most dramatic contests of the tournament.
Batting first, Finland were bowled out cheaply for 66 in 14.5 overs, with Stella Sheridan (24 off 25) and Divija Unhale (21 off 28) standing tall against Norway’s skipper Mirab Razwan (6/7).
The chase of 67 seemed straightforward, but Norway’s innings turned into a nerve-jangling collapse. Despite benefitting from 27 extras (22 wides), Norway faltered under pressure but managed to reach 67/9 in 18.4 overs. Bijeyata Kumari (12 off 19) and Anushka Gorad (10 off 18) were the only batters to reach double figures.
Finland’s bowlers were heroic in the defense — Pragathi Bhandari (2/17), Malyun Hassan (2/12) and Traijila Mulepati (2/4) bowled with fire, and tilted the balance in a thriller but at the end 27 extras proved to be vital, and Norway won by 1 wicket.
Match 4: Sweden Women hold nerve to down Denmark by 7 runs
From one thriller to another — Sweden Women defended 94 to beat Denmark by 7 runs in a low-scoring cracker.
Sweden posted 94/9, built on Rashmi Somashekhar’s 29 (41) and Zara Mohammad’s 19, with 23 extras helping the total. Denmark’s Divya Golechha (3/11) was superb with the ball, well supported by Line (2/17) and Camilla Ostergaard (2/13).
Denmark’s chase never found momentum. Despite fighting knocks from Line Leisner (20 off 21) and Line Ostergaard (19 off 43), they fell short at 87/9 in 20 overs. Sweden’s bowlers were the difference, with Anya Vaidya (2/6) and Jayasooriya (2/7) striking in key moments.
Sweden’s discipline held firm, surviving their own 25 wides, to snatch a gritty win.
Match 5: Denmark Women cruise past Finland with clinical chase
If their earlier heartbreak wasn’t enough, Finland endured another tough outing as Denmark Women cruised to a 7-wicket win.
Batting first, Finland managed 95/4 in 20 overs, thanks to Divija Unhale (39 off 50) and skipper Trajilija Mulepati (23). Denmark’s bowlers ensured control with Line Ostergaard (2/20) and Sofie Ostergaard (2/11) stifling the flow.
In reply, Denmark looked assured. Maria Karlsen (29) anchored the innings, while Kiaya Pandya (16) and Line Ostergaard (17* off 15) guided them to 99/3 in 14.4 overs. Finland’s bowlers failed to create pressure, and 26 extras only helped Denmark seal a comfortable win with 32 balls to spare.
Match 6: Germany Women storm past Norway with 78-run demolition
The day ended with a statement as Germany Women thrashed Norway Women by 78 runs, delivering a performance of complete authority.
Batting first, Germany racked up 161/3 in 20 overs. Aishani Kishore (46* off 48) played the anchor’s role, while Nicole Kingsley (30 off 21) and Janet Ronalds (31* off 24) accelerated in style. Norway’s bowlers wilted under pressure and their 27 extras only inflated Germany’s total.
In response, Norway never got going, collapsing to 83 all out in 18.1 overs. Ayesha Hasan (22 off 34) resisted briefly, but wickets tumbled too quickly. Germany’s bowling attack shared the spoils — Janet Ronalds (5/7) led the charge, supported by Ashwini Balaji, Asmita Kohli, and Wilhelmina Hornero-Garcia.
It was a ruthless display — a performance that stamped Germany as strong title contenders.
