Toss – Won by Melbourne Renegades Women and elected to bat first

1st Innings Summary – A 92-run opening stand between Sophie Molineux and Danielle Wyatt proved Melbourne Stars’ decision to bat right. Although bowlers were not getting much assistance from the pitch, Brisbane Heat got two wickets in the middle overs to slow down the run-rate a bit. But Amy Satterthwaite and Jessica Duffin regained the momentum soon and put up a competitive score on the board.

2nd Innings Summary Except wicketkeeper opener Beth Mooney, none of Brisbane heat batters could face Renegades’ bowling attack. The trio of Lea Tahuhu, Sophie Molineux and Maitlan Brown seemed to be unplayable and shared eight wickets among themselves. Following the batting collapse, Brisbane Heat were all out at 118 runs with seven balls to spare.

Player of the matchSophie Molineux, firstly for making another half-century and later, making a valuable contribution with the ball
