The England and Wales Cricket Board has announced the ECB Development XI squad which is set to face the touring West Indies Women in Canterbury on Sunday 18 May, in a warm-up match ahead of the white-ball series. This tour includes three T20 Internationals and three One- Day Internationals.

Lauren Filer is set to return to action in the West Indies warm-up fixture. England’s fast bowler has been out of action since the Ashes whitewash with a knee injury. The ECB board has opted for a youthful squad featuring several players who have debuted in the Women’s Under-19 World Cup in January. Among those named is Captain Jones, who turned heads in England’s semi-final journey by earning a spot in the ICC team of the tournament, and her impressive performance behind the stumps – nine dismissals. Key players Phoebe Brett, Olivia Brinsden, and Charlotte Stubbs further add depth to the squad.
Visitors, West Indies will remain in Canterbury after this contest and will play their first T20I against England which is set to be played in the same venue on 21 May.
