Orange Tigresses Crowned Champions of Inaugural Vidarbha Women’s Pro T20 League

A total of three teams, Orange Tigresses, Nagpur Titans, and NECO Blaster, participated in the inaugural edition of the Vidarbha Women’s Pro T20 League 2025. The Tigresses, led by skipper Disha Kasat, were up against Nagpur Titans in the first match of the tournament. The Blasters faced Titans in the 2nd game, and the Tigresses were up against the Blasters in the 3rd match of the tournament.

Disha Kasat leads guides Orange Tigresses to a comprehensive victory

Skipper Disha Kasat tore the Titans’ bowlers apart after their skipper Mona Meshram won the toss and inserted them to bat first. On the back of skipper Disha Kasat’s 88 runs (54 balls), at a strike rate of 163, the Tigresses posted a massive total of 186/7 in their quota of 20 overs. The 69-run partnership for the 3rd wicket between Sai Bhoyar and skipper Disha Kasat was the highest partnership of the innings for Orange Tigresses.

Darvi Tembhurne (4-0-23-2), Ruksar Ansari (4-0-24-2), and Aarti Bahenwal (4-0-29-1) were the top performers with the ball for Nagpur Titans. Chasing a target of 169, Nagpur Titans were restricted to 114/6 in their quota of 20 overs, falling 54 runs short of the target. Ashwini Deshmukh (42 off 37 balls) and Aarohi Bambode (33 off 26 balls) were the lone warriors with the bat for Nagpur Titans.

Janhvi Ranganathan (4-0-26-2), Aditi Palandurkar (4-0-18-1), Dhanashree Gujar (4-0-22-1), and Trupti Lodhe (4-0-20-0) were impressive with the ball for Orange Tigresses. The 42-run partnership for the 4th wicket between Ashwini Deshmukh and Aarohi Bambode was the highest partnership of the run chase Nagpur Titans.

Shraddha Nabira and Bharti Fulmali’s fifties in vain as Nagpur Titans win

An early stutter was followed by a massive 129-run partnership for the 3rd wicket between skipper Bharti Fulmali (82 off 49 balls) and Shraddha Nabira (50* off 43 balls) played a pivotal role as the NECO Master Blasters posted a massive total of 165/5 in their quota of 20 overs. Aarti Bahenwal (4-0-36-2), Mansi Borikar (3-0-23-0), Gargi Wankar (2-0-9-1), and Dharvi Tembhurne (3-0-19-0) were the top performers with the ball for Nagpur Titans.

Chasing a target of 166, the Nagpur Titans cruised over the line with 6 wickets in hand and 14 balls to spare. Skipper Mona Meshram (42* off 23 balls), Mansi Pande (35 off 17 balls), Aayushi Thakre (36 off 30 balls), and Latika Inamdar (28 off 21 balls) chipped in with vital contributions with the bat for Nagpur Titans. Shreya Lanjewar (3-0-27-2), Riddhi Naik (2-0-20-1), and Gargi Banote (3-0-20-0) were the top performers with the ball for NECO Master Blasters.

Orange Tigresses posted a competitive total of 105 in their quota of 20 overs. Wicket-keeper batter Riddhima Maradwar (28 off 20 balls), Sai Bhoyar (16 off 20 balls), and Sayali Shinde (15 off 19 balls) chipped in with crucial contributions with the bat for Orange Tigresses. Shreya Lanjewar (4-1-19-4), Nupur Kohale (4-0-19-2), Riddhi Naik (3-0-23-2), Arya Gohane (4-0-16-1), and Yashshri Soley (4-0-20-0) were the top performers with the ball for NECO Master Blasters.

Chasing a target of 106, NECO Master Blasters were bundled out for 93, with 12 balls to spare. As a result, they fell 12 runs short of the target. Shraddha Nabira (47 off 39 balls) and Shivani Dharne (12 off 7 balls) were the lone warriors with the bat for NECO Master Blasters. Trupti Lodhe (4-0-18-3), Komal Zanzad (4-0-15-2), Dhanashree Gujar (3-0-17-1) were the stand-out performers with the ball for Orange Tigresses.

Orange Tigresses and Nagpur Titans finished as the top two sides of the league stages of the tournament. As a result, they booked their spot in the grand finale of the tournament.

Orange Tigresses posted a fighting total of 136/7 in their quota of 20 overs, on the back of a crisp half-century (50 off 33 balls) from skipper Disha Kasat (42 off 45 balls). Aarti Bahenwal (4-0-22-2), Dharvi Tembhurne (4-0-29-2), Ruksar Ansari (4-0-29-1), and skipper Mona Meshram (2-0-8-1) were the top performers with the ball for Nagpur Titans.

Chasing a target of 137, Nagpur Titans were restricted to 120/9 in their quota of 20 overs. As a result, they fell 16 runs short of the target. Aarti Bahenwal (26 off 27 balls), Dharvi Tembhurne (25 off 26 balls), Mansi Pande (19 off 14 balls), Mansi Borikar (23 off 18 balls), and Gargi Wankar (15* off 16 balls) were the top performers with the bat for Nagpur Titans.

Komal Zanzad (4-0-17-4), Aditi Palandurkar (4-0-23-1), Janhvi Ranganathan (4-0-26-1), and Trupti Lodhe (4-0-26-1) were the top performers with the ball for Orange Tigresses.
