Singapore, led by skipper Shafina Mahesh, is hosting Indonesia, led by skipper Ni Putu Ayu Nanda Sakarini, for the first time in a three-match T20I bilateral series from 2nd to 5th July 2025.

The first game of the series was washed out due to rain, after Singapore were reduced to 31/4 at the halfway stage after opting to bat first. In the 2nd game of the series at the Singapore National Cricket Ground, the home side lost both their openers inside the powerplay after skipper Shafina Mahesh won the toss and opted to bat first.
Skipper Shafina Mahesh joined Sara Merican at the crease, and the duo stitched a much-needed 24-run partnership for the 3rd wicket. An unfortunate run-out ended Sara Merican’s stay at the crease to provide the 3rd breakthrough for Indonesia in the 12th over of the innings.
Singapore just managed a total of 48/8 in their quota of 20 overs. Skipper Shafina Mahesh (15 off 30 balls) was the only batter to get into the double digits with the bat for Singapore.
Ni Ariani (4-1-10-3), Sang Maypriani (4-2-3-1), and Ni Wayan Sariani (4-1-6-0) were the stand-out performers with the ball, while Ni Luh Dewi (4-1-11-1) and Dara Paramitha (4-0-11-0) played their part with the ball for Indonesia.
Chasing a target of 49, Indonesia got over the line with 9 wickets in hand and 83 balls to spare. The 31-run opening stand between Desi Wulandari (15* off 13 balls) and Maria Corazon (28 off 17 balls) was the highest partnership of the run chase.
Ella Ungerman (2-0-12-1) was the only wicket-taker with the ball for Singapore. Roshni Seth (1-0-6-0) chipped in with an economical over with the ball for the side.
Ni Ariani was awarded the Player of the Match for her match-defining spell (4-1-10-3) with the ball for her side, setting up a clinical victory as Indonesia goes 1-0 up in the ongoing T20I series.
