As another thrilling milestone ticked off in Indian women’s cricket, Radha Yadav, the crafty left-arm spinner and dependable all-rounder, becomes only the second Indian woman, after Deepti Sharma, to reach the coveted 100 T20I wicket landmark.

At just 25 years of age, Radha’s journey epitomises both skill and resilience, adding another illustrious chapter to her already impressive career as the Indian team prepares to continue their dominance in a high-stakes T20I series in England, with a historic series win in sight.
Radha Yadav’s international journey began on 13th February 2018 at Potchefstroom, facing South Africa in her debut T20I. Over the ensuing seven years, she has steadily evolved into one of India’s most trusted strike bowlers in the shortest format. In 84 innings, Radha has claimed 100 wickets at an enviable average of 19.32 and maintained an economy rate of 6.67. Her knack for breaking partnerships and delivering under pressure has been central to India’s success in T20Is.
One of Radha’s most memorable performances came during the high-pressure ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020, when India squared off against Sri Lanka at the Junction Oval, Melbourne. On 29th February 2020, Radha spun a web around Sri Lankan batters, returning with figures of 4-0-23-4. Her ability to deceive with sharp turns and subtle variations earned her the Player of the Match award and helped propel India deeper into the tournament. That spell remains her personal best and a touchstone of her match-winning capabilities.
What sets Radha apart is her consistency across conditions and opponents. With two four-wicket hauls and numerous decisive breakthroughs, she has proved to be a captain’s asset, especially in the middle overs where control is essential. Her wicket tally is a result of relentless discipline, intelligent field settings, and an ever-improving bag of tricks that troubles batter worldwide.
With the Indian women’s team, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, gearing up for a historic moment in the ongoing five-match T20I series in England from 28th June 2025, all eyes were on Radha. Facing the likes of Nat Sciver-Brunt and a formidable English batting lineup on their own turf is no easy feat, but Radha has shown time and again that she rises to the occasion.
Radha Yadav etched her name into the record books in the 3rd T20I at the Kennington Oval, London. She bagged the landmark 100th scalp in the T20I format by dismissing the opposition stand-in skipper Tammy Beaumont in the 18th over of the innings. Tammy Beaumont missed the premeditated sweep, only to see her stumps being rattled to give the Indian left-arm spinner a landmark moment to cherish for a long time. She eventually returned with impressive match figures (2-0-15-1) in her spell.
Reaching the 100 T20I wickets milestone not only solidifies Radha Yadav’s status among the elite spinners in women’s cricket but also inspires the next generation of young bowlers who dream of donning the India blue. Her journey, from grassroots cricket to international stardom, is a testament to perseverance, adaptability, and unyielding spirit.
