Warm-Up Fixtures Revealed for ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, Set for September 25–28

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the schedule for the warm-up matches ahead of the 2025 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup. These matches are set to take place from September 25 to September 28, 2025, providing teams with crucial preparation time before the tournament commences on September 30.

The warm-up matches will feature all eight participating teams, including Australia, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. All eight participating teams will play warm-up games ahead of the tournament, with most teams scheduled for two matches each. Australia is the only exception, with just one warm-up game on their schedule.

The warm-up matches will be held across four venues: the BCCI Centre of Excellence 1 Ground and M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, and the R. Premadasa Stadium along with the Colombo Cricket Club Ground in Colombo.

Additionally, India ‘A’ and Sri Lanka ‘A’ teams will take part in the warm-up games. India ‘A’ is set to play one match, while Sri Lanka ‘A’ will feature in two matches.

The warm-up match fixtures kick off on September 25, with 2017 finalists India and England meeting at the BCCI Centre of Excellence 1 Ground in Bengaluru. On the same day, South Africa will take on New Zealand at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. Meanwhile, in Colombo, Sri Lanka faces Pakistan at the Colombo Cricket Club, while Bangladesh competes against Sri Lanka ‘A’ at the R. Premadasa Cricket Stadium.

The next round of warm-up matches is set for September 27, featuring Australia’s only fixture against arch-rivals England at the BCCI Centre of Excellence 1 Ground in Bengaluru. Simultaneously, Sri Lanka will play Bangladesh at the Colombo Cricket Club, while India takes on New Zealand at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

The final round of warm-up fixtures takes place on September 28, with South Africa playing India ‘A’ at the BCCI Centre of Excellence 1 Ground in Bengaluru, while Pakistan faces Sri Lanka ‘A’ at the Colombo Cricket Club.

The ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 is set to kick off on September 30, with hosts India facing co-hosts Sri Lanka in the tournament opener at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Eight teams will compete in a round-robin format, with each side playing seven matches.
