At the event, Cricket South Africa CEO Pholetsi Moseki emphasised the value of domestic tournaments: “We’re thrilled to usher in a new season. The women’s campaign kicks off with the first Pro50 match, DP World Lions versus Dolphins, at Wanderers Stadium on October 4, closely followed by the Pro20 opener the next day. The renewal of sponsorship support for another two years signals a deeper investment in the women’s game.

CSA’s Executive of Domestic Cricket Edward Khoza captured the scale of anticipation: “It’s going to be another fantastic season for both players and supporters. From the 4-Day Series to the T20 and One-Day competitions, there will be no shortage of opportunities for fans to watch South Africa’s best talent, including the next generation of Proteas.”

The Pro Series will run through to mid-December, pause briefly for the holiday break, then resume in February, culminating with the Pro20 and Pro50 finals in mid-March.
