This year’s women’s event will be a curtain-raiser for the entire league, running from 23rd to 26th September and featuring six group matches before the final. The competition follows on from a successful inaugural season, where standout performers like Nandini Kashyap (leading run-scorer with 123 runs), Anjali Goswami, and Gunjan Bhandari (tournament-best bowling figures of 3/18) set a high benchmark for emerging talent.

The draft, broadcast live on the Official UPLT20 channel, is expected to draw attention not only from fans but also from scouts and organisers aiming to unearth the next generation of Uttarakhand’s women cricketers. With participation expanded to four women’s teams this season, the stage is set for heightened competition and fresh narratives that could shape the trajectory of the state’s women’s cricket.
