Tanya Ruma is one of the experienced batters for PNG who made her international T20 debut on July 7, 2018, against Bangladesh during the ICC Women’s World T20 Qualifier in Amstelveen, and her ODI debut came on March 24, 2024, against Zimbabwe during Papua New Guinea’s tour of Zimbabwe in Harare. She has played a total of 51 international T20 matches, showcasing her class by scoring 1203 runs thus far at a notable strike rate of 97.72, with a highest score of an unbeaten 69. Ruma has also completed 7 half-centuries to date, establishing herself as a valuable asset for the PNG.
