The stage is set for the fourth edition of the Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL), beginning on 6th September 2025, as Caribbean cricket once again showcases its rich flair and growing depth in the women’s game.

Over the past three years, the WCPL has successfully carved its niche as a high-energy tournament that blends entertaining T20 cricket with an opportunity for emerging and established talents to thrive under the spotlight. This year promises nothing less, with Barbados Royals, Trinbago Knight Riders, and Guyana Amazon Warriors vying for regional supremacy.
The tournament already has its fair share of history and rivalries. Trinbago Knight Riders crowned themselves as the inaugural champions in 2022, setting the foundation for the competition’s legacy. Since then, however, the spotlight has firmly shifted to the Barbados Royals, who clinched back-to-back titles in 2023 and 2024, establishing themselves as the most dominant force in the league’s short but eventful journey.
With the 2025 edition, the question looms large: can the Royals complete a hat-trick of titles, or will the likes of the Warriors or Knight Riders script a fresh chapter?
Format:
The upcoming edition will be played in a double round-robin format, ensuring a compact yet fiercely competitive league phase. Each of the three franchises will face the other two teams twice across the group stages. Following the completion of the league fixtures, the top two teams on the points table will progress to the grand finale on 17th September 2025.
