In the ongoing 02 edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL), in match no. 11, the Gujarat Giants led by Beth Mooney won the toss and chose to field first against Delhi Capitals.
Both teams made changes to their lineups, Annabel Sutherland and Titas Sadhu were roped in by the Capitals, and Tarannum Pathan and Veda Krishnamurthy joined the Giants in the playing 11.
Delhi Capitals started steadily, but Meghna Singh’s bowling provided crucial breakthroughs. Meg Lanning achieved the milestone of becoming the fastest player to reach 9000 T20 runs in just 289 innings.
