Sanskriti Gupta, Niki Prasad, and Sarah Bryce make their WPL Debuts

The second match of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 between inaugural champions Mumbai Indians and two-times runner up Delhi Capitals at the Vadodara International Cricket Stadium witnessed the debut of three exciting players. Sanskriti Gupta made her debut for Mumbai Indians, while Niki Prasad and Sarah Bryce donned the Delhi Capitals jersey for the first time.

Sanskriti Gupta:

Sanskriti Gupta is a 20-year-old left-handed batter and right arm off break bowler from Madhya Pradesh. She was a key part of Madhya Pradesh’s 2024 Senior Women’s ODI Trophy win, where she claimed 16 wickets in 9 matches. In the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy 2024-25, she picked up 5 wickets in 7 matches. Sanskriti was picked up for INR 10 lakhs by Mumbai Indians ahead of WPL 2025. She is a young talent who promises to bring excitement to the MI Squad.

Niki Prasad:

The talented off-spin-bowling all-rounder has already made a name for herself in the cricketing world. She rose to fame after leading India to victory in the U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025 earlier this month, showcasing her leadership skills. Her impressive record also includes leading Team C to the 2024 U-19 Women’s Challenger T20 title where she topped the run-scoring charts. Delhi Capitals secured her services for 10 lakhs ahead of the WPL 2025. With her experience in high pressure matches, she will be a valuable asset for DC.

Sarah Bryce:

Sarah Bryce, the wicket-keeper batter hails from Scotland. In her international career of 58 T20I matches, she has amassed 1290 runs, including the highest score of 67. Her performances in domestic T20 leagues have also been impressive. In WBBL 2024-25, she scored 169 runs in 10 matches playing for Sydney Sixers. Even in The Hundred, she has a run tally of 385 runs in 22 innings. Ahead of the WPL 2025, she was picked up for 10 lakhs by the Capitals. She will be an exciting talent to watch out for in the Delhi Capitals line-up.
