Players to watch out:
Latika Inamdar
She represents Vidarbha at the domestic level and is a crucial member of their side. She would be keen to bring her domestic experience to the fore. As an opening batter and a wicketkeeper, she had disappointing returns in their campaign opener against Orange Tigresses. She would be keen to find her groove with the bat and provide a solid start to her side in the powerplay as they aim to get back to winning ways.
Aarohi Bambode
The 18-year-old youngster showed glimpses of her left-handed elegance in their first game against the Disha Kasat-led side. She was one of the biggest positives with the bat for Nagpur Titans, scoring a vital 33 (26 balls) with the bat. Her knock included three boundaries and a couple of maximums, scoring at an impressive strike rate of 126.9. It will be crucial for her side that she continues her confident start with the bat in the tournament and makes it big as the tournament progresses.
Bharti Fulmali
The master blaster’s skipper would be keen to start off on a fresh note and lead her side by an example in the inaugural edition of the tournament. She is known for her power-hitting, and we have already witnessed glimpses of her potential in the 3rd edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL), where she represented the Gujarat Giants.
Riddhi Naik
The vice-captain of the Master Blasters has scored 70 runs in 7 innings with the bat in T20s and picked up three wickets with the ball in six innings. She has the potential to impact the game with the bat as well as with the ball, if needed. Her role is going to play a crucial role in their side’s progress in the inaugural edition of the tournament.
Pitch:
It is a balanced pitch, initially in favour of the pacers; however, as the game progresses, the spinners take over in terms of their effectiveness. The spinners have 26 wickets as compared to the pacers with 21 wickets to their name at this venue.
Weather:
Temperatures are set to reach a warm 38°C, with a moderate humidity level of 42%. There’s a 20% chance of precipitation, while winds will be blowing at around 10 km/h, ideal for an exciting day of cricket.
