1st Innings Summary – Except Captain Elyse Villani, no other batter of Perth Scorchers could settle down and make runs as Match No 8 turned out to be a low scoring game. While the batting side lost wickets on regular intervals, credit must be given to the bowlers of Brisbane Heat who kept building pressure on the opponents and never allowed them to open up their arms to play big shots. As a result of this, only nine 4s were hit and no six at all, during Perth Scorchers batting innings. Sammy-Jo Johnson, Jess Jonassen and Delissa Kimmince took two wickets each and proved their skipper’s decision right.

2nd Innings Summary – Brisbane Heat reached the target with great ease with opener Beth Mooney remaining not out till the end. Captain Kirby Short made a quick innings of 27 runs from 21 balls while Jess Jonassen remained not out at 28 as the team chased down the target in just 12.5 overs. Key bowlers of Perth Scorchers could not do much to defend a small total and proved to be most expensive.
