Players to watch out:

Charley Phillips

The 21-year-old pacer is recognized for her raw pace and ability to move the ball away from right-handed batters, adding depth to The Blaze’s seam attack. In recent matches, Phillips has shown promise with the ball—for example, she took 3/18 for The Blaze against Oxfordshire Women in May 2025. She will be leading the pace attack for the Blaze in this tournament.

Kathryn Bryce

The seasoned Scottish all-rounder has been a consistent run-getter and wicket-taker in any teams she features. In Women’s T20 Internationals (WT20Is), she has played 49 matches, scoring 1273 runs at an average of 37.44 and a strike rate around 103.74, with 10 half-centuries and the highest score of 73 not out. She has also taken 48 WT20I wickets at an average of 15.14, making her one of Scotland’s most valuable players with both bat and ball.

Davina Perrin

The young all-rounder in her last 10 T20 innings has scored 208 runs, with three 30+ scores and continues to take her form ahead. Most recently, Perrin scored a half century against the Yorkshire Women and continues to impress with her bat. She will be a key aspect for the Bears going into the tournament. The Bears will want Perrin to keep the scoreboard ticking as she is a vital aspect for the side.

Issy Wong

The pacer has featured in 14 T20 Internationals, taking 11 wickets with best figures of 2/10 and an average around 26, while maintaining an economy rate of approximately 6.37. With the bat, Wong is used mainly as a lower order hitter and is emerging as a handy contributor. Wong is a key bowler and vital aspect for the Bears alongside Emily Arlott in taking the team forward in the tournament.

Pitch:

The pitch at Trent Bridge in Nottingham is flat, batting-friendly, but offers good pace and bounce, keeping pacers in the game, making it an ideal, competitive wicket. The average first innings score in T20s here is around 172, and teams usually prefer to bat first.

Weather:

With mostly cloudy skies, expected a brief shower spell during the game. Temperatures will be mild around 21°C and we should have a complete game of cricket.
