The United States of America (USA) Women’s Cricket team is embarking on a landmark tour of the Netherlands in June 2025, marking the first-ever bilateral T20 International series between the two nations.

This five-match series, scheduled from June 7 to June 13, will be hosted across premier Dutch venues—VRA Cricket Ground in Amstelveen and Sportpark Maarschalkerweerd in Utrecht—and is set to provide both teams with invaluable international experience ahead of upcoming ICC qualifying events.
With two warm-up matches against a Netherlands XI kicking off the tour on June 3 and June 5, the series represents a significant step forward for both the USA and the Netherlands in their women’s cricket development. The tour is designed to strengthen competitive ties and prepare both squads for the global stage, as each side looks to build momentum and showcase the growing talent within their ranks.
Talking about the most recent campaign for both the teams, USA Women’s most recent significant campaign was the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Americas Qualifier in Argentina, held from March 7–18, 2025.
The team, led by Anika Kolan (with Aditi Chudasama as vice-captain), convincingly won four of their five matches, defeating Argentina, Brazil, and Canada (in the final group match), and only narrowly losing to Canada earlier in the tournament in a rain-affected game. Their victories include standout performances in both batting and bowling. This success secured their place in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier in early 2026.
The Dutch team is scheduled to host the 2025 Europe Qualifier in August, which will be their next major campaign. Their recent focus has been on building a competitive squad through bilateral series and regional tournaments, aiming to qualify for global ICC events in the future.
In short, USA Women’s last campaign was a highly successful run at the Americas T20 Qualifier in March 2025, while Netherlands Women are preparing for the Europe Qualifier later in August 2025.
As the USA Women’s cricket team embarks on this historic T20I series against the Netherlands, both sides have a valuable opportunity to test their skills, build confidence, and gain crucial international experience ahead of upcoming ICC qualifiers.
With competitive spirits high and the chance to make history together, this series promises exciting cricket and a significant step forward in the development of women’s cricket for both nations. Fans can look forward to a closely contested battle that will showcase emerging talent and strengthen the global growth of the women’s game.
