United States of America (USA) Cricket has officially announced the squads for the U19 Women’s National Championship, all set to take place from June 25 – 27 at the NY Oval in Albany, New York. The National championship marks a significant milestone in the domestic cricket calendar, serving as a key step in the high-performance pathway for aspiring female cricketers across the country.

This year, the tournament sees a major upgrade with the expansion to a four-team format, a move that highlights the growing depth, competitiveness and talent within the U19 women’s circuit in the United States.
After a successful Intrazonal competition held in May, that featured 19 regional teams, players have now been selected and restructured into four geographically neutral squads to ensure parity and competitive balance.
Nikhar Doshi featured at the top of the runs scored in Intrazonal competition amassing 288 runs, with highest score of 118, from just 4 innings and also scoring two half centuries in the tournament. While Anjana Marella was a standout with the ball, picking up 11 wickets from 10 outings, and also returned a 5-fer.
Hilton Moreeng, USA Senior and U19 National Team Head Coach along with selectors will closely monitor performances throughout the championship to identify future prospects for the national program.
USA Cricket Women’s Coordinator, Celeste du Toit expressed, “The expansion of the U19 tournament is a clear sign of the progress we’re seeing in the women’s game. Our aim is not only to ensure that players have an opportunity to showcase their skills, but also to strengthen our domestic competition by fielding balanced teams.”
The championship will play a pivotal role in shaping the next U19 Women’s National Training Squad. Standout performers from the tournament will be invited to join the squad, gaining access to year-round support, high-performance programs and provide structured development opportunities for players with national team aspirations.
