Born prematurely in the seventh month and raised in a modest 225-square-foot home, Radha Yadav’s rise is a story of resilience and determination. Her cricketing journey began in Mumbai, Maharashtra, where her natural flair for spin bowling was identified early and sharpened through the domestic system. A wily left-arm orthodox spinner, she built her reputation on control, subtle variations, and exceptional athleticism in the field—qualities that soon made her an integral part of India’s white-ball setup.

Her progression through the ranks was fueled by standout performances for Mumbai in 2014/15, Baroda from the 2015/16 season onward, and West Zone, which opened the door to India’s emerging squads. In February 2018, at just 18, she earned her maiden India cap, debuting in T20Is against South Africa. Three years later, she made her ODI debut, again against South Africa, and steadily established herself as a trusted option in India’s spin attack—admired for her composure under pressure and her ability to strike in the middle overs.

Radha’s growing reputation earned her a stint with Sydney Sixers in the 2021/22 Women’s Big Bash League. Since the launch of the Women’s Premier League in 2023, she has been a cornerstone of the Delhi Capitals setup. Across 19 innings, she has picked up 14 wickets, including the best of 4/20, while also pulling off momentum-shifting efforts in the field—underlining her value as a multi-dimensional cricketer.

In One-Day Internationals, she has represented India in 8 matches, claiming 8 wickets with a career-best 4/69 against New Zealand. Her batting ability, highlighted by a best of 48, adds depth to the lower order. Recently, she captained India A to a 2-1 victory over Australia A, contributing 5 wickets and 97 runs across three ODIs, further showcasing her all-round credentials.

Yet, Radha’s impact transcends statistics. She is one of India’s sharpest fielders, a livewire presence on the field, and a dependable bowler trusted to operate at any stage of an innings. Set to feature in her maiden ODI World Cup in 2025, she stands as a vital cog in India’s spin core—crafty, athletic, and battle-tested.
