Najiha Alvi’s cricketing journey began with a call-up to the national squad for the 2022 Women’s Cricket World Cup, even before she had made her international debut. In July 2023, she was included in Pakistan’s squad for the 2022 Asian Games, followed by a selection for the T20I series against South Africa in August. October 2023 marked a significant milestone for Najiha.
She earned a place in both the ODI and T20I squads for the series against Bangladesh. On October 29th, 2023, she walked out onto the field for the first time in an international T20I match, ready to showcase her skills on the biggest stage. Just a few days later, on November 4th, 2023, Najiha made her ODI debut in the same series against Bangladesh.
Najiha’s international career is still young, and her batting records are yet to be established on the global stage. With each match, she has the potential to shape her own unique path in Pakistan cricket, inspiring a new generation of young female athletes.
