Opting to bat first on winning the toss, Deandra Dottin’s Knight Riders lost both their openers inside the powerplay. Zaida James joined Jess Jonassen at the crease, and the duo led some sort of a recovery with a much-needed 28-run partnership for the 3rd wicket. Laura Harris broke the stand, by sending Zaida James (15 off 24 balls) back to the pavilion in the 8th over of the innings to provide the 3rd breakthrough for the Guyana Amazon Warriors.

Before another vital 27-run partnership for the 5th wicket between Dane van Niekerk (12* off 12 balls) and Stafanie Taylor (39 off 44 balls) almost sealed the deal for Warriors as they eventually got over the line with 5 wickets in hand and seven balls to spare.
